Hotel Indigo Stratford
Set in the heart of this historic Shakespearean market town of Stratford upon Avon, the former Falcon Hotel has undergone a major transformation to be branded an Indigo Hotel under the Intercontinental Hotel Group.
Fuse Contract Furniture, working in partnership with Darling Associates in Manchester, designed, developed and crafted a beautiful collection of furniture for each section of this stunning building, where there are three parts to the historic property. The Tudor black and white frontage overhangs the street and contains 20 guest rooms with beamed ceilings with the original wattle and daub plastered walls. Then moving further back into the building you arrive at the Georgian section of the hotel. Finally the annexe was added in the 1960’s so there is a real mix of architectural elements to try and create a workable hospitality space.
Although the project was challenging, due to the floors not being level and most of the walls bowing, the Fuse installation team ensured the furniture pieces fit snuggly against walls and skirtings.
Herringbone inlaid solid timber headboards, fabric upholstered headboard pads mounted on painted wall panelling and beautiful arched timber surrounds with velvet upholstered centres are just some of the key furniture pieces which make these bedrooms a desirable place to sleep.
